A good friend of mine told me that I should write about my faith specifically, and I agree. I enjoy the writing process and encouraging others to pursue God, so why not put the two together? Thus, the Y'all Need You Some Jesus blog was born. Not born again, mind you, just born.
Here on Y'all Need You Some Jesus, I am attempting to bring you a little bit of everything; a little of my faith, a little of my family, a little of my humor and a smattering of political and religious cartoons every now and then. I promise not to get too preachy, but if I feel it's laid on my heart, then you'll hear about it!
I do have one thing to share with you before I conclude this first blog post on my new blog, though. I have a devotion that I read almost daily. It's called Jesus Calling, and y'all need you some of this book, too. It's so amazing how the Holy Spirit speaks to the reader through these daily readings. All of them feel tailored to YOUR day and YOUR needs. I'll share a snippet of the one from today:
"How precious are my children who are awed by nature's beauty; this opens them up to my Holy Presence. Even before you knew Me personally, you responded to my creation with wonder. This is a gift, and it carries responsibilities with it. Declare my glorious Being to the world. The whole earth is full of my radiant beauty-My Glory!"
